The Land of Make Believe: Original Children's Book Illustrations

Illustrations for children's books are a very special art form, and the only area of artistic expression created specifically with children in mind. Illustrators create characters children of all ages get to know, love and treasure as friends. This exhibition draws from the collection of the Public Library of Charlotte & Mecklenburg County, and celebrates the "land of make-believe" and the magical work of visual storytellers.
