Charlotte Symphony - Classic Series

Charlotte Symphony - Classic Series

Belk Theater - Blumenthal Performing Arts Center
September 10, 2004 - May 15, 2005

The Charlotte Symphony is the largest and most active performing arts organization in the Central Carolinas, employing over 100 professional musicians.

Attend to a concert and you'll be given the best in classical music!

This season series celebrates Vivaldi, played by the amazing Evelyn Glennie, a deaf percussionist. Called the "Diva of Drums", she plays barefoot so that she can feel the vibrations created by the musicians. You’ll also be able to hear the beautiful "Rhapsody in Blue" composed by Gershwin. This beloved American composer used jazz elements in his symphonic music.

Don’t miss these unique performances!
