The Artful Teapot: 20th Century Expressions from the Kamm Collection
Mint Museum of Craft + Design
January 31, 2004 - May 30, 2004
This delightful exhibition examines the chameleon-like form of the teapot and how it became an inventive vehicle for artistic expression in the 20th century.
The 250 teapots, drawings, prints and photographs address issues of beauty, portraiture, social concerns, irony, history, politics, narrative, pure abstraction and the rituals of tea – from Great Britain’s high tea to the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party of Lewis Carroll. (Organized by Exhibitions International.)
