Penland in lights

All over the campus of the Penland School of Crafts there are signs that label each of the buildings. They tell you where you are.

This sign was made during the first neon workshop held at Penland in 1993. When you look at this sign, do you think it has the same purpose as the others? What does the sign tell you about where Penland is, and the personality of the school? Would you want to visit Penland?
